Joyful Hearts Women's Ministry

Welcome Ladies. We want to tell you who we are and what we are doing throughout the year.

We are a group of ladies who love to get together to minister to one another as well as to our community. We are a body of believers of Jesus Christ. Who know of our eternal reward in Heaven. A group of us gather together every few months to plan various activities for the ladies. We have great events planned for this year, here are some:

(On Going) Secret Sisters: Sharing the Love of Jesus. Secret Sisters are revealed every six months. We try to give some little thing (Card, Small Gift) each month to let her know we are thinking of her and praying for her. The next revealing of Secret Sisters will be the last of May. The next period of six months starts this next Sunday, July 10, 2011 and will end in December. Join us and get a Secret Sister for yourself and become one! God Bless You!!!

April 30: Women's Tea at Vintage Suites Assisted Living Center. Come and join us as we serve tea and goodies to the ladies and even men at Vintage Suites Assisted Living Faclity in Forest Grove.

May 13-15: Women's Retreat time!! All ladies are invited to come and enjoy diving into the Lord's Word. When we are not having devotions then lets go play on the beach, shop, and of course eat. Join us in Lincoln City for a great weekend. Only $50 pays for the weekend; lodging and food. The weekend starts Friday early evening and will continue until Sunday morning. All the ladies usually start home no later than noon. Some of the Ladies are carpooling down for Saturday and returning home the same day. Come join us for a relaxing, regenerating, blessed weekend with the Lord.

June 18: Father's day Box Lunch Social: The ladies will be making a box lunch then decorating the lunch container to a theme picked for Father's Day. And each lunch will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. All proceeds will go towards funding mission costs such as the Christmas Shoeboxes.

August 21: Max trip with our mentors. Join us for a fun time on the Max train to Portland. (More information to follow.)

October 9: We will be gahering at 1:30pm to decorate and pacjage the shoeboxes. All are welcome to come and participate, even the kids. Every Christmas we send out 30 shoeboxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to the kids in the Philippines. We decorate the boxes with christmas wrapping and ship them. It is always exciting to receive pictures of the children who receive our boxes; and to see their smiling faces as they unwrap their shoe boxes. Start saving your empty shoe boxes now. We also accept monitary donations to help with the shipping costs.

December 10: Christmas luncheon and ornament exchange. Join us for a ladies potluck and Christmas party. (More information to follow.)
